Vintage Navajo Turquoise Sterling Silver Irene Platero Signed Statement Necklace
Stunning vintage sterling silver and turquoise 24 inch bib necklace signed by Navajo artist Irene Platero. Exceptional spiderweb turquoise cabochon from Nevada's Ajax mine is the star of this show in a simple bezel setting. The feathers that make up most of the bib section are stylized and modern. Please note that the chain on this necklace has been attached so that it fastens in the front.
It would be easy to replace the chain with two separate chains that fasten in the back, or with one shorter chain in order to achieve a shorter overall length. Great vintage condition with minor wear due to previous ownership and no issues. Overall Length: 24 (61 cm).
