Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Cobblestone Cornrow Inlay Ring

This listing is for a vintage handcrafted Navajo ring, made of sterling silver, turquoise, and bone. This vintage Navajo ring is a great example of lapidary work. The ring is made with a wide shank of heavy gauge solid silver and features raised cobblestone inlays of turquoise and white bone. The inlays sit raised on top of the band with a raised silver lip bordering them. They have smooth edges with the turquoise portraying beautiful blue green hues with subtle matrixes and the bone having creamy white opaque color.

All of the stones are in excellent vintage condition, free from cracks or chips. The sides and back of the ring are smooth and polished in style. The inner band is stamped with the Artists signature, which is two initials of G C for an unknown Navajo Artist. The band is in perfect round wearable shape, with no give.... A very well made solid piece. This ring is waiting to be cherished and enjoyed for now.... And of course handed down to loved ones in the future. A lovely addition to any collection of fine Native American jewelry.... Or the perfect piece to start one! Weight - 8.8 Grams. Band measures - 5/8 wide at front center and slowly tapering down too 1/4 at the back center. Total inlay portion measures - 1-1/8 wide by 7/16 tall at the center... And 3/16 tall at each side.

Signed by Artist - YES, signed by an unknown Navajo Artist with initials GC. Stamped Sterling - NO, tested and verified. Mid too Later-Mid Century, 1960s +. Condition - Preowned, in excellent vintage condition with original stone inlays and naturally aged patina, ready to wear or display.
