Vintage Navajo Indian Silver & Turquoise Figural Earrings, Signed Yazzie

These innovative and whimsical earrings appear to depict dancing female figures with the skirts formed by the three twisted-wire dangles terminating in teardrops set with turquoise. When worn, the dangles sway intimating the movement of skirts in dancing. The flower-like head is nicely stamped, and the chest and arms section have buttons and ridges formed by the. The left arm of each earring has a small rectangle of silver on the back marked? Yazzie" (1st initial illegible) above sterling".

The earrings are expertly made using multiple silversmithing techniques. Although fairly tall earrings, they are delightfully light, making them very easy to wear. No breaks, dents, cracks or repairs to silver work or stones. 2-3/4" tall x 1-1/4" wide each. Total weight for both: 13 grams 0.46 oz.
