This is a beautiful vintage Navajo silver ring having handcarved darling darlene turquoise leaf-work surrounded by intricately handcarved silver beads with a handcarved graduated double silver rail band! The ring face measures around 1¼x14mm 3mmband Ring ring size is around 7. No marks but tested as Sterling silver. Cir Mid Century + Darling Darlene.
Named for the beloved daughter who died as a young woman, Darling Darlene was discovered and mined by Joe Barredo and his son-in-law in the early 70's. Hard, gem quality turquoise in a color range from light and dark blue to greens come out of this mine, producing another wonderful collectible turquoise from Nevada.
Today the mine is part of a gold mining operation.
