All of her jewelry are reputed to have a very well detailed design especially her large ones. She believed that the feelings she put into her jewelry were as important as the colors and the quality of the gemstones used. She was a traditional Navajo, and she never spoke of her creations or let anyone see them until they were completed.
She enjoyed sharing her knowledge and love making jewelry with her family members, Crow Springs was discovered in 1909 near Tonopah, Nevada. This mine produces a nice blue/green mix turquoise with a blackish brown matrix. The Crow Springs mine produces a high percentage of green tone turquoise. It has a pretty tan and brown matrix composed of rhyolite. The Crow Springs mine has gone through several owners over the years so production has been sporadic. The mine has reopened under new ownership recently and the product has become available again.
