It was hand made in the 1970s by Navajo Artist, Saunsa Foya. His work is very hard to come by and extremely pricey. The wide band carries a massive ring face that features a large turquoise stone set in a sawtooth bezel and a lower ring of multiple gem stones surrounding it. The turquoise is of high gem grade quality with a gorgeous and highly sought after black spiderwebbed matrix.
It domes up out of its bezel with a bright blue hue that fades to a dark blue/green near some of the edges. The saw tooth bezel, in which the stone resides, is flawlessly made with no line visible of where it was forged together.
The teeth of the bezel are very finely etched and in near mint condition. A row of 13 multiple inlaid stones surround the turquoise stone, while following its shape.
All of the inlaid stones are of high gem grade quality and consist of Lapis, Malachite, Mediterranean Coral, Black Onyx, and Turquoise. The gem stones were cut rectangular in shape leaving a triangular space between each one. They butt up against a thick bed of silver, being the back of the ring face. Honestly, Ive never seen more beautiful inlay work done. The silver lays against the inlaid stones flawlessly. Even though this part of the design is on the back of the ring face, it truly shows the time and patience suansa took to create a magnificent piece. This ring will be a treasured addition to anyone with a love and passion for authentic Native American jewelry. Add this vintage ring to your existing collection or let it be the start of the one youve always wanted. I promise you wont be disappointed.
Cherish and enjoy this tangible asset for now...... And pass it down to your loved ones in the future. I will entertain reasonable offers, however at the current asking price, Im not willing to come down very much.
